Raised shorelines – Dataset
The dataset consists of five geospatial data layers representing raised shorelines in Iceland. Together, they provide a comprehensive overview and harmonised mapping of landforms that indicate raised shorelines during the Late Glacial period and the early Holocene. The information is derived from scientific publications, geological maps, field surveys, and unpublished personal data provided by Hreggviður Norðdahl and Halldór G. Pétursson. The dataset also includes information on raised shorelines landforms and disturbance of them. Conservation areas are proposed. Maxar satellite imagery and the ArcticDEM digital elevation model (DEM) were used as base data for the mapping.
