Landupplýsingaþekjan (flákar) afmarkar landform fjörumarka sem eru greinileg, formfögur og lítt röskuð. Þar á meðal eru mörk svæða sem koma fram í þekju um tillögu að vernd. Í þekjunni eru einnig upplýsingar um rask á fjörumörkum. Aðallega eru þetta efnistökustaðir, setnámur, og voru upplýsingar sóttar í námuskrá Vegagerðarinnar [ https://www.vegagerdin.is/vegagerdin/gagnasafn/vefthjonustur/namur].

Úr skránni voru valdar námur sem eru skráðar eftir setmyndun, t.d. í fornum sjávarkömbum, fornum óseyrum, malarhjöllum og aðrar námur sem greinilega eru í fornum strandmyndunum. Ekki var gerður greinarmunur á því hvort að náma væri í notkun eða ekki þar sem rask á landformum er til staðar. Umfang rasks var hnitað inn eftir Maxar gervitunglamynd og loftmyndir hafðar til hlíðsjónar. Rask á fjörumörkum í tengslum við mannvirki, s.s. flugvellir og vegagerð, voru undanskilin. Þekjan birtist sem punktar í upphafsglugga en þegar kvarði kortaglugga er í um 2 km birtast útlínur afmarkaðra landforma og raskaðra svæða.

The geospatial data layer (polygons) delineates distinct, well-defined and relatively undisturbed shoreline landforms. It also includes the boundaries of areas identified in the Proposed Conservation Areas data layer. The data layer also contains information on disturbance to shoreline features. This primarily concerns sites where material has been extracted, particularly sediment extraction sites and gravel pits. The information was obtained from the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration's quarry register [ https://www.vegagerdin.is/vegagerdin/gagnasafn/vefthjonustur/namur].

Quarries recorded as being associated with sedimentary deposits were selected from the register, including those located in ancient beach ridges, former river deltas, gravel terraces and other quarries clearly situated within ancient coastal formations. No distinction was made between active and inactive quarries, as the landforms have been disturbed in both cases. The extent of the disturbance was digitised using Maxar satellite imagery and with aerial imagery basemap as reference data. Disturbance to shoreline features associated with infrastructure, such as airports and road construction, was excluded. In the initial map view, the data layer is displayed as points. When the map is zoomed in to a scale of approximately 2 km, the outlines of the delineated landforms and disturbed areas become visible.
